Juventus to part ways with Federico Chiesa. Federico Chiesa, who is wanted by Chelsea and Liverpool, is apparently up for sale by Juventus for about £43 million.
Since coming to the Old Lady from Fiorentina on a two-year loan swap in 2020, Chiesa, 25, has been an important starter. Last summer, after making an impression in black and white, he was granted a permanent transfer that might have cost up to £54 million.
The 2020 UEFA Euro winner, a right-footed wide player gifted with speed and dribbling, has seen a decline in his development over the past two seasons as a result of numerous injuries. In 2686 minutes of first-team activity over the past two seasons, he has only contributed eight goals and 10 assists while sitting out 62 games for the Serie A squad in various tournaments.
Todofichajes claims that Juventus wants to make a profit off of Chiesa since they will soon need to balance their books financially. Due to Chelsea’s growing interest, they are open to hearing offers of around £43 million.
Chiesa’s current contract is slated to expire in June 2025, making him a potentially risky acquisition for the Blues. He would rival Mykhailo Mudryk and Raheem Sterling, although his history of injuries could cause some issues.
Liverpool, Bayern Munich, and Newcastle United are reportedly keeping an eye on the Italy international, according to a report from Corriere dello Sport earlier this week. This summer, the group is interested in paying the Bianconeri’s asking price.
Two prospective Chiesa replacements have already been identified by Juventus for the upcoming 2023–24 season. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, they are interested in signing Wilfried Gnonto of Leeds United and Armand Lauriente of Sassuolo.
The Chelsea and Liverpool target has played 94 times for Juventus, contributing 22 goals and 20 assists overall.
According to a pundit, Liverpool has lost interest in the Chelsea midfielder:
Mason Mount, a star for Chelsea, has been in the news frequently since the beginning of the year due to rumors that he may leave the club this summer. He was linked to Liverpool, but The Athletic reports that he is leaning towards a summer transfer to Manchester United.
Redmen TV host Ste Hoare expressed his grief about the current news in an interview with GiveMeSport. He stated: “When the news broke, I was quite let down. I am aware that not everyone concurs and there has been some discussion about how disappointing Mason Mount is, but I vehemently disagree. He would have been ideal for Liverpool in one of those number eight positions, most likely taking Jordan Henderson’s place on the right side.”
Given that Mount was their Player of the Year for the previous two seasons, Chelsea is eager to capitalize on the probable transaction. To help them balance their finances, they hope to charge their academy graduate over £70 million for their services.
