Juventus moved closer to the top four stages in the Serie A points table after a win over Cagliari. Juve reached fifth place with the help of Moise Kean and Federico Bernardeschi’s goal in the Italian Football League game. The Bianconeri ended the year 2021 on good terms but looking forward to an intense start next year.
Federico Bernardeschi’s goal after 43 matches helped Juventus beat Cagliari 2-0 to reach fifth place in Serie A. The first goal was scored by Moise Kean in the 40th minute, then 27-year-old Federico took the ball into the goal with a kick from the edge of the box. With 34 points from 19 matches, Juventus’s team is running in fifth place in the Serie A league.
Earlier, Federico had scored his last goal for Juventus 513 days ago on 26 July last year. Juventus was struggling at the start of this season but the team’s performance improved after the arrival of coach Massimiliano Allegri. The team has won five out of the last 6 matches, and drawn one.
Juventus is four points away from the fourth-placed Atalanta. Atlanta shared the points in a goalless draw against Genoa. Atalanta has 38 points and is in fourth place, which happens to be the last place to qualify for the Champions League. Atalanta had a chance to overtake Napoli and AC Milan (both 39 points) to finish second behind Inter Milan (43 points) but was stunned by a points division from Genoa, which was on the verge of slipping into the second division. Juventus are fifth with 34 points.
