Nicolas Jackson will make a move to Chelsea. El Nacional claims that Nicolas Jackson, a forward for Villarreal, decided to bypass Real Madrid and pledged his commitment to Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino regarding a transfer to the West London club.
Jackson, 21, had a standout season with the Yellow Submarine, contributing four assists and scoring 12 goals in 26 La Liga games. The top teams in La Liga, such as Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and Los Blancos, were interested in the player, but it appears that he will be moving to England.
The player and the Blues have reached a personal agreement, and it is anticipated that they will activate his €35 million release clause, according to transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano.
Jackson’s arrival will provide Mauricio Pochettino’s team a much-needed lift. The striker fits the mold of a legitimate No. 9, a spot where Chelsea is lacking in options. Jackson might be able to improve the team’s offense, which only managed to score 38 goals in the league last year.
Florentino Perez reportedly wants to recruit another striker after signing Joselu on loan from newly relegated team Espanyol, according to El Nacional. Karim Benzema, a club legend, left for Al-Ittihad of the Saudi Pro League.
While speculation about a transfer for Kylian Mbappe is rampant, Los Blancos might have gotten a decent deal by adding a player with La Liga experience like Jackson. Jackson apparently discounted Madrid’s interest after Chelsea entered the competition, though.
Real Madrid target reiterates intention to remain there:
Valverde intends to remain at Real Madrid. Federico Valverde, a midfielder for Real Madrid, has dispelled rumors that he would leave the club. The 24-year-old, who has been linked to a move to the Premier League, expressed his wish to stay at the Bernabeu to ESPN Argentina.
He said: “No, no, I’m in Madrid, trying to take advantage of every opportunity and make an impact on the best team in the world. For Real Madrid supporters, I want to keep winning championships.”
The La Liga powerhouses now have a packed midfield with Jude Bellingham joining them from Borussia Dortmund, joining Valverde, Toni Kroos, Aurelien Tchouameni, Luka Modric, and Eduardo Camavinga.
Chelsea was looking for a capable partner for the Argentine after acquiring Enzo Fernandez from Benfica in January for a club-record fee. Romeo Lavia of Southampton and Moises Caicedo of Brighton and Hove Albion have also been mentioned in connection with them.
