Brighton and Hove Albion offers new bid for Levi Colwill. Following the rejection of a £30 million offer for Chelsea defender Levi Colwill, Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly contemplating a new £40 million offer.
Brighton is reportedly prepared to submit a brand-new, club-record £40 million offer for Colwill, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. This season, the English defender who is on loan at the Amex has performed admirably.
Twenty-year-old Colwill made 22 appearances across several leagues, contributing to his team’s seven shutouts. He contributed three assists as well, and his contribution was crucial in helping the Seagulls qualify for the UEFA Europa League.
Colwill is not for sale, according to Chelsea, and is a part of their long-term ambitions at Stamford Bridge. Although the Englishman has yet to play for the West Londoners at the senior level, he might be a factor in the coming year.
The Blues’ new manager, Mauricio Pochettino, will have a lot of choices to make regarding the futures of his players. Three new players were recently added to his new team’s defense: Kalidou Koulibaly, Wesley Fofana, and Benoit Badiashile.
Koulibaly and Fofana, however, had a difficult first season at Chelsea. It is unclear if Pochettino will try to integrate Colwill into the first team rather than let him continue to play in minor roles.
When Colwill responded to Manchester United’s 4-1 victory over his parent club last month, he did earn the wrath of the Stamford Bridge supporters. Just hours after the defeat, he appeared to be taking offense at their setback as he posed for a photo with former Blues midfielder Billy Gilmour.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek of Chelsea appears to be moving to AC Milan:
It appears that Loftus-Cheek will arrive at the San Siro. Ruben Loftus-Cheek, a midfielder for Chelsea, is allegedly close to agreeing to a summer transfer to AC Milan. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Englishman has granted the go-ahead for the proposed transfer to the Rossonerri.
Throughout the season, Loftus-Cheek, 27, has been in and out of the Blues’ starting lineup. In 33 appearances across different competitions, he contributed two assists. His time at Stamford Bridge, though, has been marred by ongoing physical problems.
Loftus-Cheek has been chosen by Stefano Pioli’s team as Ismael Benaccer’s best successor. The Algerian had a severe knee injury, which could cause him to miss most of the upcoming season.
Milan’s opening offer for the midfielder is around £12.9 million, while Chelsea wants about £21.5 million for him. This summer, it’s anticipated that Loftus-Cheek will leave the team.
