Meanwhile, West Ham’s start to the season goes from bad to worse, with three losses from three, a far cry from a side hoping to compete for a place in Europe.
Brighton, however, is in the European places, sitting fourth, and although it’s early days, performances such as that one will have Seagulls fans across the South Coast dreaming of a European tour.
