West Ham is keen on signing 21-year-old Arsenal star. Folarin Balogun of Arsenal is reportedly the player West Ham United is most interested in signing this summer.
The New York-born striker was on loan from Arsenal to Stade Reims for the 2022–23 season, when he scored 21 goals in 37 Ligue 1 games. His performances have received attention.
Balogun will be acquired by West Ham this summer, claims FootballTransfers. Declan Rice, a midfielder wanted by both teams and valued at over £100 million by Manchester United, has been mentioned by name during negotiations between the two teams.
There have been rumors that Rice would sign Balogun as a makeweight, which would please West Ham. However, since they haven’t made a decision about the player’s future, the Gunners aren’t interested in such a proposal.
According to reports, manager Mikel Arteta plans to evaluate the 21-year-old’s development during Arsenal’s preseason tour of the United States. It is uncertain if he will receive significant playing time under Arteta despite his outstanding accomplishments in France.
Arsenal already has players who can fill the No. 9 position, like Gabriel Jesus, Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Martinelli, and Eddie Nketiah. Additionally, they paid £67.5 million to get Kai Havertz from Chelsea, according to ESPN.
Balogun joined the Arsenal academy in 2011, however, he has only played in eleven club tournaments at the senior level.
Arsenal signing is approved by Luis Garcia By Kai Havertz:
Both fanbases are split on Kai Havertz’s transfer from Chelsea to Arsenal for a variety of reasons.
Fans have questioned the price the Gunners spent for the struggling German attacker in addition to the friction that was unavoidably created by joining Chelsea’s bitter rivals. Last season, he started as the No. 9 but only scored nine goals in 47 appearances in all competitions.
However, Luis Garcia feels that Havertz would improve Arsenal’s front line. The former winger for Liverpool said to ESPN: “If we look at what occurred to Arsenal over the past month or month and a half, we can see how their performances were impacted by the lack of players who could hold the ball, have it, and ask for it.”
“During the final half of the season, they demonstrated how naive they are. I believe (Mikel) Arteta is aware of that. Another of such footballer is Kai Havertz.”
The former Bayer Leverkusen playmaker prefers to occupy a position similar to a No. 10 behind the striker. He would be yet another excellent choice at Arteta’s disposal as the Spaniard seeks to once again contend for the Premier League.
At the end of the previous campaign, Arsenal let a sizable advantage slip to Manchester City, who went on to win their third straight league championship.
