Kylian Mbappe could sign Arsenal. If Kylian Mbappe were to move to the Premier League, it is said that he would like to sign with Arsenal.
Miguel Delaney of The Independent claims that Mbappe would be lured to the Gunners by Mikel Arteta’s vision at the Emirates. Additionally, the Frenchman would be thrilled to bring the north Londoners their first championship since 2004.
This follows rumors that Liverpool had submitted an unprecedented €200 million offer for Mbappe. Delaney has downplayed the assertions and said that his preferred Premier League team would be Arsenal.
Arteta has turned the Gunners into title contenders; last season, they were five points behind Manchester City in the league standings. Declan Rice and Kai Havertz moved to north London this summer as part of the club’s growth under the direction of the Spanish coach.
Following his announcement to PSG that he will not be renewing his contract, Kylian Mbappe’s future is the focus of considerable speculation. Delaney thinks that the associated costs make a move to Arsenal implausible.
The 24-year-old has not spoken to the Gunners in any way. After missing out on signing Kylian Mbappe the previous year, Real Madrid is considered the favorite to do so this time around. He is scheduled to meet with the Parisians to discuss if he will be made available for sale this summer as his current contract expires the next year.
The Frenchman’s announcement that he wouldn’t be extending his contract with the Ligue 1 champions startled PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi. They don’t want to lose the striker for anything next summer, so he has asked that he either sign a new contract or depart.
Last season, Kylian Mbappe was once again one of Europe’s top forwards. In 43 appearances across various tournaments, he scored 41 goals and added 10 assists. The France captain is excited to play at Parc des Princes for one more season.
Arsene Wenger compares Kylian Mbappe to Arsenal icon Thierry Henry:
According to Arsene Wenger, Thierry Henry and Kylian Mbappe, both had comparable styles of play. Henry was tutored by the former Gunners manager in north London for just over eight years, developing him into an all-time great.
Henry has scored 228 goals for the club over two stints, making him the Gunners’ all-time leading scorer. He is recognized as one of the best players to play in the Premier League, if not the best.
When addressing Ligue 1 in December, Wenger emphasized the parallels between Mbappe and Henry. In his analysis of the PSG forward’s skillful finish in France’s 3-1 victory over Poland at the FIFA World Cup in 2022.
He said: “Yes, there are a lot of parallels. In his early years, Thierry also played on the left and liked to shoot with an open foot.”
Wenger went on to discuss Mbappe’s performance against Poland: “However, I’ve noticed that Kylian, much like he did in his first goal against Poland, adjusts to the fact that goalkeepers often anticipate his signature shot towards the far post and instead send it near-post. Like with all great players, he gives off the idea that playing football comes naturally to him and that he chooses when to make a difference.”
With 123 appearances for Les Bleus, Kylian Mbappe is almost at Henry’s record of 51 goals and 30 assists. In 70 games for Didier Deschamps’ team, he has scored 40 goals and provided 24 assists. Both Frenchmen have won the World Cup, and it is difficult to ignore their similarities.
