Kepa Arrizabalaga commented on his possible future as a goalkeeper at Chelsea.
In recent months, Kepa has kept two clean sheets against Barnsley in the FA Cup and Newcastle in the Premier League.
“I never thought about going away from Chelsea,” Kepa told COPE.
“We won the Europa League in my very good [first] season, qualified for the Champions League, and I played for the national team. We changed coaches for the second year.”
“There was no problem with Lampard [although] I did not give my best version [and] it is true that I did not play the way I wanted to play.”
“I don’t have an issue with it [but] I want to turn it around. Start a bit of playing. I want to be here and feel better, and I want to look forward to the future.”
“I am not getting carried away [with the back-to-back starts], but after inactivity, they felt good. I hope I’ll play more soon.”
“What I want is to feel important at Chelsea, get back in goal and enjoy myself. In my own mind, I believe I can do it. I’m not afraid. I want to feel more important and work for it. What will happen, we’ll see.”
