Gonzalo Higuain flew back to Argentina to be with his ill mother, before suspensions of flights due to the coronavirus epidemic. The Argentinian star might lose his contract with Juventus, in forthcoming months.
Tuttosport says that Juventus has not yet heard of the 32-year-old, in spite of trying to make contact with the forward. The report suggests that Serie A leaders are now considering their options, one of which involves ending the Higuain contract with the club.
While the player has a deal until the end of next season, Juventus is said to be open to bidding until the next transfer window.
The results depend on the assertion made by the Italian Football Association about the potential re-start of Series A.
