Juventus President Andrea Agnelli claims ‘the Champions League needs to be a goal and we are going to take a few days to analyze everything’, and supported his directors, coach Maurizio Sarri and Cristiano Ronaldo.
“This season has certainly been bittersweet. It was a very tough task, achieving our ninth consecutive campaign and making a wonderful chapter in history books we achieved a great outcome.”
“Maurizio needs for himself his own exceptional page, coming from the amateur leagues to capture the Scudetto,” Agnelli told Sky Sport Italia.
“Clearly, it is frustrating for management, for the players and the supporters of the Champions League. As I have said many times in recent years, the Champions League has been a sight; it has to be a target now.”
“Juventus have such ambitions; they must be respected domestically as well as in Europe. We have the best player in Champions League history, which he proved again tonight, and we need to start with renewed enthusiasm again.”
“It needs to be a full review of a season for everybody in the team. We need to decide how we can rediscover the passion we need to continue the next season with determination to compete and succeed in every arena.”
“When you undergo too many changes, you are fully informed that there will be certain problems that occur. Nonetheless, we won nine straight Serie A championships, something that had never existed in the 99 years previous to our success, so I doubt that could be achieved again over the next 100 years.”
Cristiano Ronaldo is ready to move to PSG as he is not entirely happy at Juventus, reported France Football this week.
“I am completely sure he is going to stay. I assume the article was related to an interview that was written a few months earlier right before we were playing against a French squad. That is a common practice of the newspapers.”
“No, I can tell you that Ronaldo remains a Juventus pillar.”
