Timo Werner made his Chelsea debut in Monday’s 3-1 victory over Brighton and spoke about the differences between the Premier League and the Bundesliga.
“After 1-1 it was a difficult game, but then Reece scored an unbelievable goal,” Werner told MOTD.
“We are very pleased that we have won today.”
“The game is entirely different. There’s more space, so then you came out in the second half and the game was completely different – [ it] absolutely changed. Brighton caused us a lot of problems.”
“I have played against three big defenders, that’s not what you have in Germany. I’m glad to be here and I think the first game was a positive one for me and the players.”
“Brighton did really well from the start and pushed us high. As it’s Liverpool, the second game will get tougher. I tried to do my best to give a team assist.”
“We didn’t have a lot of players in the flow right now but I hope we’ll get better and better if we play more games together.”
