Benzema’s emotional message after being disqualified to play in World Cup 2022
Karim Benzema posted an emotional message after his injury during World Cup preparation. After being disqualified from the FIFA World Cup, Karim Benzema, a player for Real Madrid, delivered a message to his supporters. The Frenchman said that he could not remain on the team and denied another player the opportunity to make the team.
Benzema is one of four French players that won’t be at the World Cup, along with Paul Pogba, N’Golo Kante, and Christopher Nkunku. Before the squads were revealed, the midfield pair were ruled out, while Nkunku suffered an injury during practice last week.
Benzema remarked in a tweet regarding his choice to withdraw from the World Cup and give another player a chance that he does not believe in giving up but had to make the decision yesterday.
He declared, In my career, I haven’t ever given up, but tonight, I must consider the team as I always do, therefore reason tells me to leave my place to someone who can assist our team in making a successful World Cup. I appreciate all of your encouraging messages.
Didier Deschamps acknowledged Benzema’s injury and said it would be a major setback for the French team. I feel terrible for Karim since he helped make this World Cup a great success, he remarked. Even with this latest setback for the French team, I am completely confident in my team. We will use every effort to meet the enormous challenge that lies ahead.
However, Karim Benzema’s successor, another player, has not been called up by the French national team management. Last week, he chose Randal Kolo Muani to take Nkunku’s position, but he won’t be adding another player this week, thus 25 people will compete in the competition.
