After two years Lucas Torreira ‘would love’ to go back to Italy, reported the Arsenal player’s agent.
The Uruguayan had made no secret of his desire for life on the peninsula. Before transferring to Arsenal in the summer of 2018 Torreira had played for Pescara and Sampdoria.
Pablo Bentancur told Tuttomercatoweb, “Lucas had some differences with his coach and was a bit annoyed about it, but then he bounced back.”
“The injury came after that, but luckily it’s not as serious as we feared it would be. Now he’s completely recovered and I think he’ll be a wanted man in the transfer market.
“I still have to talk to Arsenal. The player would love to return to Italy, although it must be acknowledged that Arsenal has treated him very well.”
Milan and Napoli have both been linked to getting the 24-year-old back to Serie A in recent months.
