Liverpool has joined Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Sheffield United midfielder Sander Berge, according to reports.
Last summer, for a club-record fee of £22 million the Norwegian international joined United from Genk, but he has only made 13 appearances for the Blades.
Since December, Berge hasn’t played due to a hamstring injury, and he may have already played his last game for United, who are relegating to the Championship.According to Eurosport, Liverpool is also interested in signing Berge, whom Jurgen Klopp sees as an ideal – and affordable – replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum.
