The departure of Gonzalo Higuain has been announced officially by Juventus, before the anticipated arrival of Edin Dzeko from Roma.
Higuain, 32, is set to finalize a move to Inter Miami’s MLS side.
In a long message on the official website of the club, Juventus said goodbye to Higuain.
It read: “There have been many battles together, many goals recorded, with many always decisive. Now the paths of Gonzalo Higuain and Juventus go their different ways: Pipita has officially taken off his Black and White shirt after winning his third Scudetto.”
“Juventus Football Club S.p . A. declares that the deal with player Gonzalo Gerardo Higuain has been mutually terminated. This activity has a negative economic impact of approximately 18.3 million euros for the financial year 2019/2020 due to the residual value write-down of the registration rights of the player.”
“In the summer of 2016, Gonzalo’s Juve journey started with a great impact: he was the top scorer and most used player in a season that finished with the conquest of the Scudetto and the Italian Cup, a double cup that was replicated the following year. And since his debut, Higuain has been Juventus’ second-highest scorer in all competitions, as well as the Champions League’s sixth top scorer.”
“Now it’s time to say goodbye: Thank you, Pipa, for everything! And good luck for your future.”
