The team can conclude short-term transactions for Cedric Soares, Dani Ceballos, David Luiz, and Pablo Mari before midnight, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is being optimistic.
To negotiate with players whose terms expire at the end of June on short term contract extensions, Premier League clubs have time until midnight tonight.
Group-with the loan agreements for Ceballos, Cedric, and Mari expiring, Arsenal has four players falling under it, instead, with the term for Luiz finishing on June 30 as well.
Arteta is sure this can be completed in time, whereas the team is currently focusing on finishing negotiations with all participants.
“The timing of it and any of the procedural problems associated with it were quite difficult,” he said in his pre-match press conference.
“The club is in the next few hours attempting to finalize everything. We have no choice, we have to do something-even despite the accidents we have suffered, even more so. ”
“This is what we are working to overcome. I am confident we can do this. I hope so.”
Arsenal is looking to make Mari’s contract permanent after Brazilian side Flamengo has placed the player on loan.
“I believe there were some procedural problems to be resolved there, but we also plan to retain him.”
