AC Milan interested in Chelsea midfielder. Before the new season, AC Milan is reportedly planning to make a deal for Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka.
Journalist Gianluca di Marzio claims (via The Chelsea Chronicle) that the Blues are willing to let the midfielder go on an initial loan to make the transfer permanent. Last summer, Aston Villa paid him £20 million to go to West London.
Since then, whether it was under Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter, or Frank Lampard, Chukwuemeka has had to fight for playing time. He played just 345 minutes in the Premier League at the end of the campaign.
The Englishman’s services have reportedly come to the attention of AC Milan, who are willing to make an offer for a loan deal. It’s important to note that the I Rossoneri have also been strongly connected with a bid for Ruben Loftus-Cheek of Chelsea.
The decision has become dubious, according to 90min, as a result of the dismissal of directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara from AC Milan. Their current attention appears to be on signing Chukwuemeka.
The 19-year-old’s contract at Stamford Bridge is long-term and doesn’t end until the summer of 2028. If he contracts with AC Milan, it is unknown if either party will be willing to include a mandatory buy-clause in his deal.
Chukwuemeka, who excels in the No. 8 position, is still in his formative years. He was on the Villans’ books for six years before joining the Blues, making 16 senior games in various tournaments.
Aguero believes Mauricio Pochettino will bring out the best in Chelsea star:
The selection of Mauricio Pochettino as Chelsea’s new head coach has already been made official.
The Argentine coach will oversee the team’s preseason before attempting to lead them back into the top four. Todd Boehly spent a lot of money, yet Chelsea only managed to finish 12th in the league this season.
When they paid £106.8 million to get Enzo Fernandez in January, they also smashed the British transfer record. With Sergio Aguero’s support, the 22-year-old midfielder is now expected to improve even more next season.
Former Barcelona forward Stake.com, through Metro, quoted him as saying: “Poch always gives his young players more responsibility, and Enzo is one of them. Despite Chelsea’s poor performance in his first season in England, he proved that he is capable of handling the demands of this elite league. I believe that under Pochettino’s direction, he will perform even better.”
The Argentina player who won the 2022 FIFA World Cup has contributed two assists in 22 games across various tournaments for his new club.
