Marcos shares an intriguing story on Garnacho. Atletico Madrid’s youth instructor Jesus Adolfo Marcos has disclosed startling information about Manchester United’s youngster Alejandro Garnacho. To better monitor the player, Marcos, Atletico’s under-19 coach, alleged that Garnacho was a rebel in the locker room and that he was moved to a three-year younger age group.
When they moved me, I believed I was being demoted, but I was informed it was a promotion, Marcos said (per The Sun). They wanted me to mentor the club’s top new player. That was my goal, as well as my greatest task. Alejandro was a “street kid” from a Getafe neighborhood, and we decided to send him to the academy hotel right away because he wasn’t doing well in school.”
He was smarter than the other boys, but he developed problems because he was a rascal and inciting conflict inside the motel, continued Marcos. He would smuggle snacks like candy into the room and conceal his phone so he could use it late at night. He was the leader of his gang in breaking the law as well!
He praised the present Manchester United star’s attitude on the field, though. “We were traveling to Rayo Majadahonda, and I had to remove him after ten minutes,” said Marcos. There was undoubtedly an issue with attitude. They exerted a lot of pressure, but Alejandro was helpless and effortless, so he was told to sprint and work hard.”
“The entire coaching team was anticipating a negative response, complaint, or indiscipline when I replaced him, but we scored in our first attack without him and went on to win 6-0. But it was completely the reverse. Alejandro handled the situation with extraordinary composure, didn’t whine, and put in a lot of effort all week.”
With four goals and five assists in 27 appearances, the young player has solidified his place on United’s youth squad this season.
Marcos lamented Alejandro Garnacho’s departure from Manchester United but insisted that the Argentinian is now in good hands. Erik ten Hag, according to Marcos, is among the best in the industry at training young people.
Ten Hag worked at Ajax, where there is a culture of dealing with young players, and will be the best person to deal with him, the man claimed.
This season, Alejandro Garnacho has had a sizable effect on Manchester United’s offense. Today (February 5) at Anfield, in a Premier League road game, Manchester United will take on Liverpool.
