Kane compared to Haaland by Darren Ambrose. Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur, according to former Newcastle United player Darren Ambrose, is superior to Marcus Rashford of Manchester United and Erling Haaland of Manchester City. Since making his debut for Spurs’ first squad during the 2013–14 season, Kane, 29, has established himself as one of the best strikers in the world. In 421 total appearances for his team, he has 268 goals and 63 assists to his credit.
Haaland, who transferred from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester City this season, has been a force to be reckoned with. In 33 games for City across all competitions, he has tallied 33 goals. Rashford, on the other hand, is in top form right now, and his 25 goals in 39 games this season have been essential to United’s success.
Ambrose asserted on talkSPORT that Kane’s all-around play makes him a superior striker to either Rashford or Haaland. He stated: “I was asked which player—Haaland, Rashford, or Kane—I would choose right now. As a Spurs fan, I may be a little biased, but I still think Kane should head the line. He is, in my opinion, the finest of the three as a football player. Kane plays exceptionally well overall, and his goals and helpers are outstanding.”
Kane, who is under contract with Tottenham Hotspur Stadium through June 2024, has been in excellent shape during the current 2022–23 season. In 35 total games, he has scored 20 goals and provided four helpers. Kane’s contract expires in 16 months, and it has been rumored that he will transfer to a prestigious club in quest of trophies. Bayern Munich and Manchester United have been mentioned in connection with a summer move.
Gary Neville, a former star of Manchester United, discussed Harry Kane’s possible future destinations in an interview with Sky Sports. He stated: “He is a fantastic player and a great professional, and if you could get him out of there to a club in Manchester, such as United or City, I believe he would embrace that chance. Given the money they spent on [Erling] Haaland and what they did with him, it’s highly unlikely that it will be City, but Manchester United is in dire need of a center-forward.”
Neville excluded Chelsea and Arsenal as possible suitors and added: “I don’t see him going there, Chelsea. They need a center-forward, but he is loyal to Tottenham, and there is a strong rivalry between the two teams, so I don’t see that occurring. Harry Kane’s only English choice this summer is Manchester United since he won’t be moving to Arsenal due to the rivalry.” Kane is third on the all-time list of goal scorers behind Wayne Rooney (260) and Alan Shearer (201 Premier League goals) (208).
