Chelsea star to join Serie A club. Christian Pulisic, a forward for Chelsea, reportedly wants to join AC Milan this summer and is willing to accept a pay cut. The two clubs aren’t yet close to coming to a deal, though.
Pulisic has agreed to personal terms with AC Milan, according to a report in La Gazzetta dello Sport, and is eager to join the Serie A club. He is now watching for them to work out a deal with Chelsea and make it possible for him to transfer to San Siro.
The USMNT standout has had difficulty securing a starting position at Chelsea. Due to his history of injuries, Mykhailo Mudryk and Raheem Sterling are currently his main rivals.
The Italian newspaper also states that AC Milan is prepared to spend €15 million this summer to sign the winger. Chelsea, though, demands at least €20 million to approve the sale.
Milan and the Blues are in negotiations for Callum Hudson-Odoi, and a deal has been reached for Ruben Loftus-Cheek. According to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the midfielder arrived in Italy Friday night and has already had his physical.
The target for AC Milan suggests he’ll leave Chelsea this summer:
The possibility of Christian Pulisic leaving Stamford Bridge this summer has been raised. Everyone had a difficult recent season, he claimed, and he was prepared to consider all of his choices before deciding on his future.
Earlier this month, he stated that he was eager to gain some experience in front of the camera when speaking to the media in the United States. According to a quote from him by USA Today:
“It’s been a pretty difficult season for me personally, as well as obviously for our club squad. At the club level, it’s been an interesting experience for me. I had a few years that I considered to be fantastic. And the past two years have simply not gone as I had anticipated. My current attention is undoubtedly on the national team here. I can’t wait to start playing again, have fun, and do what I love to do on the pitch.”
He added: “And from there, this summer, we’ll have to wait and see what transpires. It is unquestionably extremely early. I currently play for Chelsea, and I intend to return there, but anything might happen. Many things are subject to change.”
In the four seasons since Chelsea signed Pulisic, he has appeared in 145 games for them. He has contributed 21 assists and 26 goals to the Blues.
