Top 10 Countries FIFA Rankings. The June 2023 FIFA World Rankings have been released. There hasn’t been a lot of international football action since the 2022 FIFA World Cup came to an end. As a result, since the beginning of the year, there hasn’t been much movement in the FIFA World Rankings.
But lately, athletes have been serving on international service, and national teams have been playing this June. The most recent rankings for June 2023 have now been issued by FIFA.
The complicated formula that generates the rankings takes into account the results of international matches played during the previous four years, giving more weight to the more recent encounters.
The World Cup and regional championships are two examples of big international competitions that employ this approach to seed teams.

#10 Spain – 1703.45 points (Netherlands Nations League Soccer):
Despite winning the UEFA Nations League, Spain has only been able to keep their position as the 10th-ranked team in the FIFA World Rankings. Prior to dispatching Croatia in a shootout in the championship, they defeated Italy 2-1 in the semifinals.
La Roja increased by 20.60 points in June and now stands 30 points ahead of the United States, which is ranked eleventh. The Spanish national team’s new coach, Luis de la Fuente, has a roster that is capable of pulling off the extraordinary. He will be hoping to return the team to its former glory in the near future.
#9 Portugal – 1718.25 points (Iceland Portugal Euro 2024 Soccer):
In the FIFA World Rankings, Portugal has not changed positions either; they are still ranked ninth. Although Morocco eliminated them from the 2022 FIFA World Cup in the quarterfinals, they have gone undefeated in their last four games.
In June, Portugal defeated Iceland 1-0 before crushing Bosnia and Herzegovina 3-0. As of right now, they have 1718.25 rating points.
#8 Italy – 1726.58 points (Netherlands Nations League Soccer):
Italy, the current European champions, is in the process of rebuilding after failing to make it to the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Young players have assumed the spotlight as the old guard has retired.
Prior to defeating the Netherlands 3-2 in a dramatic match to secure third place in the competition, Italy lost 2-1 to Spain in the UEFA Nations League semifinal earlier this month. They remain in ninth place and have improved by 12.92 rating points since the previous edition.
#7 Netherlands – 1731.23 points (Netherlands Nations League Soccer):
Four of their previous five games, across all competitions, have been losses for the Netherlands, who are currently going through a bad patch. They were eliminated from the UEFA Nations League by Croatia in the semifinal round, and they also lost to Italy in the third-place game.
The team of Ronald Koeman has dropped to seventh place and received no points since the last FIFA World Rankings.
#6 Croatia – 1742.55 points (Netherlands Nations League Soccer):
For the Croatian national team, it has recently been a tale of almost. At the FIFA World Cups of 2018 and 2022, they lost in the championship game and the semifinal, respectively. This year, they advanced to the UEFA Nations League final, but regrettably lost to Spain on penalties, missing out on yet another significant prize.
However, the Croats improved by 12.53 rating points and moved up to sixth place.
#5 Belgium – 1788.55 points (Estonia Belgium Euro 2024 Soccer):
In the FIFA World Rankings between 2018 and 2022, Belgium held the top spot for more than three years. However, the Red Devils’ golden age has passed and they are no longer at the top of their game.
In the first of their two June Euro qualifying matches, Austria held them to a draw. The following game saw Belgium defeat Estonia 3-0. Overall, they lost 3.98 rating points, moving them from fourth to fifth in the rankings.
#4 England – 1797.39 points (England North Macedonia Euro 2024 Soccer):
The FIFA World Rankings currently show that England has been performing very well in recent years. In two Euro qualifying games in June, the Three Lions won hands-down twice, first defeating North Macedonia 7-0 and then Malta 4-0.
A large number of youthful players who have not yet reached their peak make up England’s talented team. In the future, they are unquestionably one of the teams to wager on.
#3 Brazil – 1828.27 points (Portugal Brazil Senegal Soccer):
Since Tite’s resignation as manager following Brazil’s 2022 FIFA World Cup exit, the team hasn’t performed very well. Of their last three friends, they have lost two. Their two games in June resulted in victories and defeats. They won 4-1 over Guinea before losing 4-2 to Senegal.
Although it lost 5.94 points, Brazil was still able to maintain its third-place status.
#2 France – 1843.54 points (Gibraltar France Euro 2024 Soccer):
One of the most dominant national football teams of the twenty-first century is France. They have won all four of their UEFA Euro qualifiers since placing second at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and they have collected 5.09 rating points to hold onto their position at second in the FIFA World Rankings.
In their most recent games in June, France defeated Gibraltar 3-0 and Greece 1-0.
#1 Argentina – 1843.73 (Indonesia Argentina Soccer):
incumbent world champions In the FIFA World Rankings, Argentina has just about managed to hold onto first place. They have 0.20 more points than France does. Two friendlies were played by La Albiceleste in June.
They defeated both Australia and Indonesia by the same score of 2-0. 2.8 rating points went to Lionel Scaloni’s team.
