Real Madrid to omit PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe. Due to Vinicius Junior’s outstanding play, Real Madrid reportedly opted against restarting a move for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) attacker Kylian Mbappe.
According to Marca, Los Blancos are unwilling to pay any money to acquire the French forward after missing out on the opportunity to sign him for free last summer. The 24-year-old was widely anticipated to sign with Madrid as a free agent, but in May of last year, he agreed to a new three-year contract with PSG.
According to some rumors, Mbappe and Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham are both targets for Real Madrid in a mega-money double swoop. The adolescent Englishman appears to be on his way to Santiago Bernabeu.
However, Los Blancos believe that given Vinicius’ outstanding performance over the last two years, a move for Mbappe is less than necessary. The Brazilian forward has 51 games this season in all competitions with 23 goals and 21 assists. Last season, he scored 22 goals and provided 20 assists, including the game-winning goal in the UEFA Champions League final.
According to reports, Mbappe’s PSG contract has a provision allowing him to depart for free in 2024. Given that Karim Benzema’s new one-year agreement is set to expire then, that might make Real Madrid take notice.
This season, Mbappe has been in outstanding form, scoring 38 goals and dishing out nine assists in 40 games across tournaments. He has frequently stated his desire to play with Los Merengues, but it doesn’t appear that he will be joining them any time soon.
The champions of Europe were turned down by Kylian Mbappe:
Many people were shocked when Kylian Mbappe decided to sign a new three-year contract with PSG in May 2022. Despite appearing to be headed for the Santiago Bernabeu, the Frenchman decided to stay at Parc des Princes.
The Frenchman explained why he decided to renew his contract with the Parisians in November.
He stated to Sports Illustrated that he wants to accomplish something unique in Paris as a Frenchman: “I often talk about my goals and what I want to accomplish, and now is the right time. The book is entirely white in Paris. What a possibility! You must adopt a new way of thinking. Of course, traveling to Madrid was simpler. But I do have this goal. I am French. I was born and raised in Paris, so for me to win there is truly something remarkable.”
PSG’s star player ever since joining AS Monaco in 2017, is Kylian Mbappe. In 257 matches, he has 209 goals and 97 assists while winning five Ligue 1 and three Coupe de France championships.
Mbappe has yet to win the Ballon d’Or or the UEFA Champions League, though. Many people think he has a better chance of attaining these goals at Real Madrid. The La Liga powerhouses have won the European championship 14 times, and Benzema is the current Ballon d’Or winner.
