Edin Dzeko was laughing at Romelu Lukaku. During the Serie A match against AC Monza on January 8, Inter Milan striker Edin Dzeko was seen laughing at Chelsea loanee Romelu Lukaku for the Belgian’s first touch.
When Lukaku made a terrible first touch off a throw-in and lost control of the ball, the Nerazzurri had a 2-1 lead. Dzeko, a former Manchester City attacker, was seen grinning on the sidelines after the striker’s gaffe left his teammate in stitches.
Denzel Dumfries, a defender for Inter Milan, eventually scored an own goal, giving Monza a chance to tie the score in the dying seconds. While on loan, Lukaku has had difficulty for Inter Milan. In just seven appearances across all leagues for the Italian club this season, he has two goals to his credit. One assist has also been given by Lukaku.
But after his loan period, the footballer doesn’t see himself going back to Stamford Bridge. In August, he said to DAZN Italian: “The Chelsea season served as additional inspiration for me to do even better than before. I believe that after a year, people have forgotten my abilities on the field. I have a certain kind of anger inside of me. I had in mind to secure a rematch with Chelsea when I left. I spent eleven years at Chelsea when I was younger, and I wanted to return there as a main character.”
He went on to discuss his choice to rejoin Inter Milan, saying: “I began considering my ideal scenario after the most recent game. I had a challenging season at Chelsea, and I figured things wouldn’t get any better moving forward, so I made the decision to return.”
