Inter Milan midfielder Christian Eriksen is in contact with Ajax, this indicates a return to his first senior team. According to reports, the Danish footballer may return to ajax as he is unable to play for Inter due to a defibrillator implant. This football transfer would not be surprising knowing the health condition of Eriksen.
On June 11, during UEFA Euro 2020 opening football match between Denmark and Finland, Eriksen collapsed and his heart stopped. And in the football match, he was revived on the field by medical personnel. He was then hospitalized and underwent surgery, but was discharged on June 18 after a cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) was implanted.
Despite the fact that Eriksen is returning to normal life, Italian law prohibits anyone with an ICD from continuing their careers as professional athletes. Eriksen would only be cleared to play for Inter again if the implant was removed, but before that can happen, it must be determined that this was a one-time occurrence that will not reoccur.
With that in mind, sports news today football reports that Eriksen is negotiating a move to Ajax and it is not totally shocking. The type of football transfer is unknown it could simply be a loan, a transfer, or Eriksen could mutually terminate his contract with Inter.
Before joining Tottenham in 2013 the 29-year-old came up through the Ajax youth system. He arrived at Inter from Spurs in January 2020 for a €27 million deal. He had only recently begun to find his feet in Serie A as the club won the Scudetto.
