We will be looking at Neymar’s goals in his entire career. Despite leaving his home nation at an early age to travel to LaLiga, the talented attacker’s career began with Santos, where he has scored the most goals to date. For Santos, Neymar scored an astounding 136 goals in 225 games across all competitions. That was sufficient to secure his high-paying transfer to Barcelona, and he wasted no time in making an impression at the Camp Nou team as well.
Neymar thoroughly enjoyed himself in Catalunya while playing with other superstars Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, scoring a cool 105 goals in 186 games. However, even though he was enjoying himself in Barcelona, he decided to continue his career in Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017. Since then, he has scored on well over 100 occasions, and come 2022–2023, he will still enjoy tormenting Ligue 1 defenses.
Neymar has already scored more goals in Ligue 1 than he ever did in LaLiga and the Brasilieirao, proving that he is certainly thriving in France. Even though he still has a ways to go before cracking the top 10 goal scorers in Ligue 1 all-time, it seems probable that he will cross the 100-goal threshold in the not-too-distant future at this rate.
Neymar was brought in by PSG in part to assist them in winning the Champions League, although he has not yet succeeded in doing so. However, Neymar has climbed into the top 15 list of the competition’s greatest goal scorers after scoring 43 goals in his first 80 games.
Only Pele stands between Neymar and becoming Brazil’s all-time leading goal scorer going into the World Cup. The PSG star has scored 75 goals in 121 appearances, with the majority of those goals coming in international friendlies, but he also has a respectable record at major events, having scored 11 goals in 22 World Cup and Copa America contests. Naturally, that places him among the top international goal-scorers of all time, with Cristiano Ronaldo topping the list.
