Lionel Messi is ready to open his five-star hotel in February. According to insiders, Argentine superstar Lionel Messi plans to expand his hotel chain business by opening his first five-star hotel in Andorra. The PSG forward owns the MiM hotel chain, which will debut its sixth location in February 2023.
General Manager Gemma Ravasi said why the new hotel was built in that particular spot: “Andorra has a fantastic sports fan base all year long. Gemma Ravasi, general manager of MIM Hotels, told Expansión that after examining the hotel selection in the heart of Andorra, the company discovered that there was no premium boutique product with cutting-edge technology and individualized service.
The hotel chain already has five locations in Spain, all of which are in Sitges, Ibiza, Mallorca, Baqueira, and Sotogrande. The renowned Casa Canut hotel, which is situated in one of Andorra’s most well-known principalities, was purchased by MiM in 2021. It is now prepared to open two years from now.
The hotel will reportedly have 34 rooms, each measuring 25 square meters. Included in this is the Lionel Messi suite, which will have information on the superstar and an outdoor Jacuzzi. The food will be served by Hincha, a brand-new restaurant concept. The collaboration between MiM and Nandu Jubany, a chef with a Michelin star, produced Hincha.
Majestic Hotel Group, a business that Messi has long-standing ties to, oversees MiM Hotels. They also worked together on the establishments in Sitges, Ibiza, and Mallorca, where rooms cost between 200 and 400 euros.
