PSG are set to sign Luka Vuskovic from Hajduk Split. Luka Vuskovic, a starlet for Hajduk Split, has signed with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) for €10.5 million, beating out Premier League powerhouse Manchester City for his services, according to Index.hr.
The 16-year-old Vuskovic progressed through the ranks at Hajduk before making his league debut in February in a 4-0 loss to Dinamo Zagreb. Since then, the kid has played for the Croatian club’s first squad eight times, scoring one goal.
At the age of 16, Vuskovic made his debut with Hajduk, which attracted the interest of clubs all around Europe. One of the teams said to be interested in the central defender was Manchester City.
Recently, it was revealed that PSG and Hajduk were in negotiations to sign the Croatia Under-17 international. The aforementioned source claims that Les Parisiens have pushed swiftly to close a transaction.
The Ligue 1 powerhouses increased their interest in Vuskovic by making an offer of €10.5 million. According to the article, Hajduk’s president Luksa Jakobusic has subsequently accepted the offer.
The arrangement will reportedly have a 20% sell-on clause, and add-on terms have also been considered. According to reports, officials are preparing the paperwork so that the transfer would be finalized when the summer transfer season opens.
The largest transaction for the Croatian team was the €10.8 million sale of Nikola Vlasic to Everton of the Premier League. After relocating to Paris, if Vuskovic activates even one of the add-ons, he will surpass Vlasic’s record.
Vuskovic’s services were sought after by a few other teams, including Manchester City. However, PSG was the one to approach Hajduk initially to discuss a transaction. At Parc des Princes, the defender hopes to advance even further.
PSG is planning to bring in Milan Skriniar as a new defender:
Luka Vuskovic will probably start in PSG’s youth divisions before working his way up. Meanwhile, a deal has been reached by Les Parisiens to strengthen their senior team’s defense.
The central defender for Inter Milan, Milan Skriniar, has long been admired by the French giants. In the last two transfer windows, they were rumored to be interested in signing the Slovakian international.
By the time Skriniar becomes a free agent this summer, PSG should finally land their man. When his contract with Inter ends at the end of the current campaign, the 28-year-old is expected to transfer to Paris.
Before the 2023–24 season, the undisputed French champions are also likely to unload several players. Lionel Messi will undoubtedly leave the club as a free agent, and numerous other players may also be leaving, according to Fabrizio Romano.
