Xavi disapproves of the selling of Raphinha. Despite Saudi Arabia’s interest, Barcelona manager Xavi is allegedly hesitant to offload winger Raphinha this summer. The Brazilian only recently relocated to Camp Nou, but his departure is now being discussed.
According to journalist Achraf Ben Ayad, Barcelona has received a bid for Raphinha from an unknown Saudi Pro League team. According to AS, the Blaugrana are unwilling to consider any offers for the winger because they view him as an essential member of their senior team.
Additionally, manager Xavi supports the Brazilian international player. He is regarded by the former midfielder as a non-transferable player since he wants to remain with the team.
Raphinha moved from Leeds United to Barcelona last summer in a €65 million transaction that included add-ons. In his first season with the team, he led the league with 10 goals and 12 assists in 50 games across all competitions.
The club’s key players will not be sold, according to Barcelona president Laporta, despite the club’s financial crisis.
He stated according to Fabrizio Romano: “Christensen, Gavi, Pedri, Arajo, Ter Stegen, Ansu, Raphinha, and Balde have all been the subject of proposals. However, we are not a sales club. This month, we have no intention of selling our star.”
Due to their inability to make Lionel Messi a firm offer during the current transfer window, the Blaugrana notably failed to re-sign him. He later joined Inter Miami of Major League Soccer.
Update from Fabrizio Romano on Arsenal’s connections to Raphinha:
After acquiring Kai Havertz from Chelsea, Raphinha has also been linked to Arsenal, who are looking to bring in additional attacking reinforcements.
Fabrizio Romano, a transfer analyst, asserted that the interest was not genuine because the Gunners were concentrating on other acquisitions at the time: “Honestly, Arsenal doesn’t have anything substantial in mind for any of these names right now. They are not currently actively working on it with Raphinha or any of the other people.”
He said to Romano: “As a result, everything is really quiet. Reminding people that Timber and Rice are currently in the spotlight because these are two incredibly pricey agreements is crucial, in my opinion.”
Both defender Jurrien Timber of Ajax and midfielder Declan Rice of West Ham United are allegedly close to signing contracts with the North London team.
