Pedri and Gavi will also leave Barcelona along with others. Eight first-team players have been the subject of proposals, according to Barcelona president Joan Laporta. Since they are not a selling club, they do not intend to sell them.
This summer, the Blaugrana hope to raise money while their financial problem persists. They don’t want to sell any players though since they want to keep competing for titles.
According to Laporta, offers have been received for Alejandro Balde, Pedri, Gavi, Ronald Araujo, Marc Andre Ter Stegen, Ansu Fati, and Andreas Christensen.
He does not, however, intend to sell them, stating: “Christensen, Pedri, Gavi, Araujo, Ter Stegen, Ansu, Raphinha, and Balde have all received offers. However, we are not a sales club. I would instruct Ansu to go ahead. When he plays, he makes a difference because he has the talent to do it, but he first needs to gain Xavi’s trust.”
The Blaugrana were a contender to get Lionel Messi back and are currently looking to add players. The Argentine, however, decided to join Inter Miami in the MLS rather than wait for them to resolve their financial problems.
Barcelona planning big moves in summer:
The club’s transfer priorities this summer, according to Barcelona president Joan Laporta, are to focus on acquiring defenders. He also mentioned that manager Xavi requested a midfielder following Sergio Busquets’ free transfer departure.
AS was informed of Laporta’s plans, and he assured her that they would be completed in time for the upcoming season because the window had just begun. I do not doubt that we will succeed. The market has only recently started. We are primarily focused on all matters about the defense.
Laporta said: “There is no question that we will add additional items if the necessary exits enable us to do so. We will add one extra reinforcement to the midfield because the coach requested it.”
He continued: “With a player who has offered, we’ll watch what transpires. We have essentially finished the front line up front. In theory, we’ll keep playing alongside players who previously announced their intention to quit but ultimately decided to stay.”
Barcelona is reportedly close to acquiring Vitor Roque this summer, according to AS. They have settled the young Brazilian’s issues and are nearing an agreement with Athletico Paranaense.
