A disappointing Transfer Window for Manchester United
Despite having some glaring issues in the Man United squad, the Board decided not to buy any reinforcement this transfer window.
Man United are one of the biggest clubs globally, and their fans expect them to be the best in the League.
But, since Sir Alex Ferguson left the club after helping them win their 20th league title.
Manchester United has been struggling to find its footing in the Premier League. They are finding themselves away from winning the League season after season.
Chelsea, Manchester City, and Liverpool are now the top contenders to win the Premier League every season.
What Happened at Manchester United, and why are they struggling to win silverware?
Throughout the Hierarchical Structure, there has been miscommunication.
The Glazers family are one of the most disliked owners in the Premier League since they bought the club in 2005.
And Manchester United fans were not pleased with the takeover, but nobody noticed anything because Man United was winning every trophy possible.
But, in 2013/14, the cracks started showing in the club. Man United was Abominable in their first season under David Moyes.
Then Louis Van Gaal came. Fans were Hopeful, but unfortunately, things went from bad to worse. FA cup Victory was not enough.
Jose Mourinho “The Special One” arrived in the 2016/17 season. United won two trophies in his first season but is still mediocre in the League.
After somewhat two good seasons, The “Mourinho Third Curse.” Strikes, by December of 2018, he was out of Old Trafford.
Ole Gunnar Solskjær “The Baby-faced Assassin” helped steady the sinking ship.
It looks like the Red Devils got their man, and then they went three seasons without winning any trophies.
Man United looked better under the Norwegian manager. Several young players got their first-team debut.
But in the 2021/22 season, the love story between Ole and Man united ends. After losing against Watford FC.
The club sacked him and got Ralf Rangnick as a temporary fix.
And now they hope to win at least one trophy and qualify for the Champions League.
The Transfer Problem:
Despite spending loads of money in the transfer window, Man United are still floundering to find the perfect starting.
United did what Real Madrid did in 2003/04; they bought the best player in the world. Instead of focusing on the core issues.
They Signed Alexis Sanchez, Angel Di Maria, Redemel Falcao and Paul Pogba on a Huge contract.
Man United didn’t replace Vidic and Ferdinand when they had all the resources.
And this season, Man United needed a Center Defensive Midfielder, but they chose to ignore it.
So, here’s how they can solve it:
It’s simple whoever is coming in, whether it’s Poch, Ten Hag, or anyone else.
They (The Board) should give him full support in the transfer window; sell those futile players.
Most Importantly, Solve the Midfield problem.
United need at least three new signings, i.e. fullbacks, CDM and a Striker.
Finally, Manchester United requires a well-defined hierarchical structure from top to bottom.
They must understand who they are and what they should do.
