Tottenham found a successor to Harry Kane. According to reports, Tottenham Hotspur has decided that Evan Ferguson would make the best Harry Kane replacement. The Chelsea and Arsenal teams are both interested in the Brighton & Hove Albion attacker due to his recent strong play.
Ferguson has moved up the list of players Tottenham wants as a possible Kane replacement, according to a story in talkSPORT. The young Irish player is viewed by the north London team as a long-term replacement for Kane, who might depart in the summer.
In just 10 Premier League appearances this season, the 18-year-old has three goals and two assists. He also managed to score three goals in four FA Cup games and two more in League Cup contests.
With Manchester United showing interest, Kane is anticipated to depart Tottenham in the summer. The striker’s current deal at the club ends in 2024, and he has not yet signed a new one.
Ian Wright, a former player at Arsenal, thinks Manchester United should think about trading players with Tottenham this summer. He contends that to entice the Englishman to Old Trafford, they should give Anthony Martial more money.
He said: “Arsenal played very well (against United on Sunday), but one of the key differences between them and Manchester United on Sunday was Eddie Nketiah, a No. 9—that’s what Manchester United didn’t have,” he said on the Wrighty’s House podcast.”
When considering United’s trajectory and direction, he further continued: “Get Harry Kane for three years. They had Wout Weghorst up there, but he wasn’t a threat if we’re being honest, he just wasn’t a threat.”
Wright asserts that Manchester United needs a striker to advance, saying: “United will do something because they’re not a million miles away right now. But if United came in now, let’s say they put £60 million on the table and throw in Anthony Martial… that’s a very good deal. I think Spurs fans will say “good luck Harry.”
“For me, it seems like a no-brainer to sign Harry Kane. He takes them somewhere else. It’s that kind of signing. If it happened, that dressing room at Old Trafford starts buzzing because they know they’ve got an elite striker coming and he will win them games. He will win games for them.”
Kane’s potential summer transfers to Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are also being considered. The captain of England has played 39 games for Tottenham this season across all categories, scoring 23 goals and dishing out four assists.
