The referee blows the final whistle with a 1-0 to Lyon against FC Porto.
The game went to the break, goalless, despite both sides having decent chances.
At the second half, the Portuguese side was lively but found themselves behind on 59 minutes.
When Paqueta finished into the bottom corner, Dembele flicked the ball back to him.
The goal was initially ruled out due to Dembele being offside. However, VAR showed that the French striker was, in fact, onside, and Ref gave the goal to make it 1-0 to Lyon.
The hosts thought they had a penalty just four minutes later after the referee pointed to the spot as Paqueta handled in the box.
The referee went to look at the monitor, though and decided that he would overturn his decision and rescind the penalty award.
Conceicao’s men upped the tempo a little late on and thought they’d found their reward in added time after Mbemba volleyed into the back of the net.
However, the centre-back was ruled offside, and the game finishes 1-0 to the French side.

So, where else do Lyon and FC Porto go from here?
It’s a brilliant result for Lyon, who will have a goal advantage heading into the home leg.
They will fancy their chances now of making it through to the quarter-finals and maybe further.
Porto faces an arduous task now and will need a big performance out in France in a couple of weeks if they want to progress in the competition.
