Manchester City is interested in signing Antonee Robinson. According to reports, Manchester City is looking to add Fulham defender Antonee Robinson during the current summer transfer window.
Robinson, 25, joined Fulham in 2020 after moving there for more than £2 million from Wigan Athletic. Since then, he has established himself as a crucial first-team starter. So far, he has assisted them in winning the EFL Championship.
The 36-cap USA international, a left-footed full-back blessed with speed and endurance, made an impression with his performances last year. With 35 starts, he contributed to his team’s 10th-place finish in the Premier League standings.
The Evening Standard reports that Manchester City has indicated a desire to sign Robinson during the current summer transfer window. The team of Marco Silva is willing to accept £35 million for their player.
To sign Robinson this summer, Pep Guardiola’s team will undoubtedly face competition from Newcastle United of the Premier League. In the upcoming months, they might also face off against AC Milan and Marseille.
If he joins the Cityzens, Robinson, whose contract has 12 months left, could turn out to be a wise acquisition. He could give Nathan Ake and Sergio Gomez in the left-back position a serious challenge.
On the other hand, if the American were to sign a long-term contract with the Magpies soon, he would start every game for them. He’d probably push Dan Burn out of Eddie Howe’s plans.
The Fulham left-back has played 107 games in all competitions so far, scoring three goals and dishing out five assists.
Following his treble celebrations for Manchester City, Jack Grealish fires out at his detractors:
Jack Grealish was observed going on a three-day binge earlier this month to celebrate Manchester City’s treble victory. Pictures of Grealish partaking in alcoholic beverages, while perched atop the parade bus, drew condemnation from both supporters and commentators.
Grealish chose to defend his behavior when he was questioned about his thoughts on the current criticism of his celebration. He stated to talkSPORT: “I had accomplished something once in a lifetime. When it was last accomplished, well… It hasn’t been done for a very long time; I’m not sure when Manchester United did it. Why not rejoice in that manner then?”
Grealish added that he has always been on the City side. He stated: “I went out with pals, so I wasn’t by myself, you know? The entire Manchester City team and I were together. Saturday, Sunday, and Monday were fun days for us; it was the best weekend of my life. After winning the Champions League, I had intense emotions for three days. Truthfully, I was probably experiencing my highest emotional high ever.”
Grealish has played 89 games for City so far, scoring 11 goals and dishing out 15 assists.
