After a precarious beginning, the Erik ten Hag era at Manchester United is thriving, and Bruno Fernandes praises the Dutchman’s strategy.
Erik ten Hag has received praise from Bruno Fernandes for establishing “a style” and the necessary “discipline” at Manchester United.
He linked Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola to the Dutchman’s early strategy.
At the conclusion of the most recent Premier League season, the former Ajax manager succeeded interim predecessor Ralf Rangnick.
And after a disastrous 2021–22 season, he spent the preseason trying to revamp the Old Trafford team.
Ten Hag dropped both left-back Luke Shaw and Captain Harry Maguire following a difficult summer of transfers.
And since then, United has won all four league games before the international break.
Considering the contributions, Ten Hag has made to the team during the recent months.
Fernandes claims that he has powerfully enacted his ideas.
Fernandes told The Athletic:
“He has an idea, and he has a style.
“You have to follow his rules, and he is strict on that. I like that.
“He has brought discipline, which I think we missed in the past. Everyone must be on the same page.
“That is what Pep and Klopp have been doing for years because they have stability in the club and in how they choose the transfer market and build the team.
“I saw the manager say that we do not want to bring players just for the sake of it.
“We want to bring the right players for what we want to do.
“It is something the club needs. We still have a margin to improve.
“And he needs time to get the most out of us.
“I believe we will get to the point with him where we are established as a team.
“And everyone is on the same page.”
