Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum is expected to join Inter Milan in the summer transfer window.
The 30-year-old seems to be on the brink of leaving when his new deal ends at the end of the season, as his situation at Anfield remains unresolved.
Wijnaldum has been linked with a move to Barcelona, where he might reunite with former Netherlands boss Ronald Koeman, but he has also been linked with a move to Inter.
A move to Inter is close to occurring, with the club’s sporting director Guiseppe Marotta showing interest, according to sources.
Speaking to Sports Mediaset, journalist Claudio Raimond said: “It’s a low-profile and free agents market: [Guiseppe] Marotta, therefore, looks to Georginio Wijnaldum.”
Fellow journalist Sandro Sabatini also added: “Inter already have a handshake with Wijnaldum, already from last year. Then they decided to do it on a free transfer.”
