Simone Zaza responded with a brace in the 2-2 draw between Benevento and Torino, an entertaining match that included three disallowed goals.
The home side started the match best, and in the initial minutes before Nicolas Viola scored on his return to action from the penalty spot after 32 minutes, Kamil Glik had a goal disallowed for handball.
When his half-volley hit a Torino defender and found the near corner behind Salvatore Sirigu, Gianluca Lapadula then added a second four minutes into the second half.
Simone Zaza first responded with a header to pull Toro one back, before he had a goal disallowed for a handball in the build-up and then Andrea Belotti’s attempt was ruled out for offside.
In stoppages, Zaza appeared again to slide home a through ball from Belotti and help Davide Nicola to a point in his first game in charge.
