PSG willing to sign €150m-rated Napoli striker. Le10Sports reports that Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is interested in signing Victor Osimhen, a striker for Napoli, for €150 million this summer. Osimhen has also been linked to Manchester United and Chelsea of the Premier League.
The futures of Lionel Messi and Neymar at the Parisians are both uncertain. The Argentine will quit the team when his contract expires at the end of the current campaign, according to transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano. Meanwhile, Neymar has also been connected to a transfer away. The Premier League’s clubs are interested in signing the Brazilian superstar.
However, PSG is eager to strengthen its offense and is looking for a player to pair with Kylian Mbappe in the front row for the upcoming campaign. Osimhen has emerged as a priority target for the Parisians after an impressive campaign for Serie A champions Napoli.
The Nigerian forward has 35 games this season in all competitions with 28 goals and five assists. Chelsea and Manchester United, two powerhouses in the Premier League, are also interested in signing the player. Osimhen deals might cost as much as £150 million, though.
Danilo Pereira, a standout for PSG, showed his displeasure after Lionel Messi’s whistle:
For the fourth time since joining the team, PSG supporters whistled Lionel Messi during the weekend’s Ligue 1 home match against Ajaccio. While Messi faced the fury of the crowd on Saturday (May 13), Christophe Galtier’s team prevailed 5-0.
After spending some time on the bench because of a suspension for an unauthorized trip to Saudi Arabia, the Argentine made his way back into the starting lineup. However, a portion of the crowd booed him after each touch he made against Ajaccio.
Danilo Pereira, one of his teammates, did nevertheless express his dissatisfaction (via Canal Supporters): “Yes, the situation is challenging. It saddens us when we observe a teammate being called for a foul. A teammate of mine is Lionel Messi. We are all present. Whistle for the entire team if we must. But we press on because we still have a title to win. And that is what matters.”
At the end of the current campaign, Messi’s contract expires, and it appears that he will go. The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner could end up at the 35-year-old’s previous club Barcelona or the Al-Hilal of the Saudi Pro League.
