Barcelona star Luis Suarez has reached an agreement to join Juve on a deal worth €10m a year, reported Sky Sports Italy and Gazzetta Dello Sport.
Before securing his services Andrea Pirlo’s side is reportedly waiting for the 33-year-old Uruguay International to terminate his Barca contract. Suarez’s contract termination is said to have cost the La Liga club £22 m in severance.
If Suarez joins Juventus, he is likely to take advantage of the Italian Government’s growth decree, which will allow the club to save nearly 50% of its wages in two years.
It’s no secret that to complement Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala, Juventus needs an out-and-out striker. Suarez is capable of bringing immediate success and can help Juve win their first Champions League title since 1996, although he is not a long-term option for the Serie A club. Time is running out for Ronaldo-and Suarez himself to win another.
