PSG sporting director Leonardo has articulated about the change of head coach.
At the beginning of January, the team left Thomas Tuchel, who was replaced by Mauricio Pochettino.
“We knew, and Tuchel knew, that it would be difficult for us to extend his contract at the end of the season. So we decided to anticipate things a little bit. It wasn’t for the sake of beauty. I don’t think it was a surprise to Tuchel. He and I have discussed the situation many times. Perhaps he stopped understanding me,” Leonardo said to France Football.
“Pochettino? I think it is important to establish a certain style in the team. PSG must have its own identity. It is not a matter of weeks, it is a matter of years. And I think Pochettino can give the team a style that blends in with the DNA of this club.”
