Fabregas suggests Chelsea sign Dani Olmo of Spain. Cesc Fabregas, a former Chelsea midfielder, has pushed the Blues to recruit Dani Olmo, a Spanish international. When asked which current Spanish player he would sign for the Blues, Fabregas was conducting a Twitter Q&A and then he said: “Dani Olmo might be a fantastic addition if Chelsea keeps using this strategy”
Olmo, 24, played four times for the Spanish national team somewhere at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, making one goal and one assist. For RB Leipzig, he has made 14 appearances in various leagues, recording four assists and three goals. The Spanish player is adaptable since he is comfortable playing with either foot and can play both wings.
Olmo advanced through the Barcelona La Masia academy’s youth ranks and even attended Camp Nou within the same age category as Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella. In 2014, he made an unheard-of transfer from Barcelona to Dynamo Zagreb, appearing in 124 games while contributing 28 assists and 34 goals to the Croatian team. From 2017 to 2019, he won the award for Zagreb’s player of the year twice.
For €29 million, Leipzig and Zagreb agreed to let Olmo join them in the Bundesliga in 2020. At Red Bull Arena, the Spain winger has made an impression with 19 goals and 22 assists in 106 appearances. His current contract with Leipzig expires in two years, and according to Transfermarkt, he is worth €40 million.
