Roma striker Edin Dzeko has tested negative for coronavirus and will re-join the team as Chris Smalling returns to fitness.
Good news for coach Paulo Fonseca as the former international from England Smalling has recovered from food poisoning and is back in training.
In addition to the news about the center-back, Dzeko has reported that COVID-19 is negative.
“Negative, at last! I can’t wait to get my teammates back into training to help them play so well,” he wrote on Twitter.
Ahead of the 3-0 victory over Parma, Dzeko was checked on a regular basis but did not return in time for the Olimpico clash on Sunday.
He must pass a fitness test before the Bosnian international can return to training.
