Barcelona has again gained interest in signing Inter striker Lautaro Martinez.
Before the start of the coronavirus pandemic acquiring the 23-year-old forward was a priority for the Catalans, but the club’s financial situation was severely affected.
Barca has now returned to the thought of transferring Lautaro. If they are unable to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland the club will attempt to arrange a deal, Mundo Deportivo writes, citing RAC1.
Lautaro’s current contract with Inter runs until 2023. The player recently spoke of his intention to sign a new deal with the club, but the situation is affected by the uncertainty of Inter’s financial situation.
There have been rumors that the club is being sold but Milan president Steven Zhang has denied the information.
In all competitions this season, Lautaro has scored 16 goals and made 9 assists in 37 appearances for Inter.
