Osasuna confirmed on the official website that Croatian national football team member Ante Budimir is positive for coronavirus.
Last 10 days the player spent with the Croatian senior national team, but he was negative in testing like all other players of both national teams before the match with France. It is not known where Budimir managed to get infected
The national team was tested three times in a three-game cycle in October. Once before the duel with Switzerland in St. Gallen, and after that on two occasions in Zagreb before the meeting with Sweden and the mentioned meeting with France. All players were negative for coronavirus.
Budimir is the first member of the Croatian national team to test positive for coronavirus. After arriving at the new club Osasuna he was tested on Thursday. Due to a positive test, he did not join Osasuna’s training today and was sent to self-isolation.
