Mykhailo Mudryk involved in a Laser Case of Arsenal Fan. In a 3-1 victory over Chelsea, an Arsenal supporter was detained for a potentially dangerous laser incident involving Mykhailo Mudryk.
According to reports, an Arsenal supporter was detained for allegedly using a laser to target Mykhaylo Mudryk on May 2 during the Gunners’ 3-1 victory over Chelsea at the Emirates.
The score was 3-1 when the Ukraine international entered as a substitute, but he was unable to help his team get back into the game. Photos taken after the game’s conclusion revealed that Mudryk had been the target of a green laser pen the entire time.
A statement from Arsenal has already been made to confirm the fan’s arrest in connection with the event. (According to GOAL): “Following the use of a laser during last night’s game, an arrest has been made. This behavior is totally unacceptable and dangerous. We will give the police our full assistance as they conduct their investigations and take appropriate measures.”
After entering the game, Mudryk gave his teammates three chances to score goals, but he was unable to finish a dribble or manage a shot. The laser pen would have been ineffective. Since moving to West London and joining Chelsea in January, he hasn’t had the easiest time.
In 14 appearances across different competitions for his new team, Mudryk has managed two assists but no goals. With the loss to Arsenal, the Blues have now dropped all six of their contests while being led by interim manager Frank Lampard.
After 34 games, Arsenal reclaimed the top spot on the standings. Manchester City, who has two games remaining, is behind them by two points.
What Oleksandr Zinchenko said to Mykhaylo Mudryk following his decision to join Chelsea rather than Arsenal:
Mykhaylo Mudryk, a player for Shakhtar Donetsk, was the target of an intense bidding war between Arsenal and Chelsea in January. Ultimately, the Blues won out by making an offer of £88 million for his transfer and signing him to an eight-and-a-half-year contract.
Oleksandr Zinchenko, a member of Mudryk’s international team, encouraged the 22-year-old to visit the United Arab Emirates. The Arsenal left-back expressed his displeasure at Mudryk joining Chelsea to the Daily Mail (via Mirror) in March: “I told him, ‘It’s already gone; it doesn’t matter what you wanted or what the other people wanted. You have a single option and one path moving forward now that you are a Chelsea player and have committed to a long-term contract. Unfortunately, he didn’t end up playing for Arsenal, which was something I really desired, but that’s life.”
Leandro Trossard, a player who cost Brighton & Hove Albion £21 million, was acquired by Arsenal in the winter. Given his transfer value, it’s reasonable to assume that the Belgian international has proven to be a better acquisition thus far.
In 18 games for the Gunners across competitions this season, the 28-year-old has one goal and eight assists.
