After an emphatic victory over a plucky Union Berlin side, Bayern’s two-match non-winning streak is well and indeed over.
The three first-half goals put paid to any real chance the visitors had of getting something from this game, but Lewandowski’s second just seconds after the restart put the hosts further in front.
The game’s pace slowed as the second half went on, but Bayern’s control over it never slipped, and the Bavarians ran out deserved winners in the end.

GOAL:
A Bayern firecracker puts them into the lead. Die Roten work the ball well around the box, and Hernandez passes back inside to Coman. From 20 yards, he smashes a shot that curls dips and swerves on its way to goal, deceiving Luthe and finding the back of the net! What a goal, and Bayern are up 1-0 in no time.
Bayern has two!!!! A corner from Kimmich perfectly suits Nianzou’s late run, who smashes a bullet header low into the corner!!!! It’s 2-0 to Bayern and shows how clinical the Bundesliga champions are!
Lewandowski dispatches the penalty with ease, sending Luthe the wrong way and putting Bayern two goals to the good! 3-0 to the hosts right on half-time, and it’s a long way back for Berlin now.
Lewandowski’s got another!!!! A delightful one-two between Musiala and Muller sees the youngster carry on his run into the box, and he flashes the ball across goal to Lewandowski, who taps it home to make it 4-0 to Bayern! What. A. Player.
So, what’s next?
Bayern getting back to winning ways sees them go seven points clear at the top of the Bundesliga. Second-placed Dortmund does have a game in hand, but with Bayern playing like they did tonight, there’ll be few who can truly stop them from winning a tenth consecutive title. Union’s winless streak extends to three games, and should this poor form continue. The Berlin side will soon fall away from European contention.
