Carlo Ancelotti jeopardizes leaving Real Madrid. If Florentino Perez declines to sign Reece James and Victor Osimhen this summer, Carlo Ancelotti has reportedly threatened to leave Real Madrid. This is according to El Nacional. The combined price tag for James and Osimhen is predicted to be €200 million.
As rumors tying him to the position of head coach of Brazil circulate, Carlo Ancelotti’s future at the Santiago Bernabeu is becoming increasingly questionable. Ge reports that the 64-year-old has agreed to take over as manager of the Brazil national team after his Real Madrid contract expires in 2024.
Ancelotti apparently has prerequisites that are unavoidable for him, despite still having one year left at Real Madrid. Florentino Perez, the club president, is said to be concerned about this but has no plans to look for a new manager.
Carlo Ancelotti was unsatisfied with the acquisitions of Joselu Mato, Brahim Diaz, Fran Garcia, and Jude Bellingham. To make his team more competitive for the upcoming season, the Italian coach has requested two more acquisitions.
Reece James, a right-back for Chelsea who is presently valued at €70 million, has been demanded by Ancelotti. He does not have complete faith in Dani Carvajal and feels the England international is the player of the highest caliber that Real Madrid needs.
James had a difficult time staying healthy for Chelsea during the recently finished season, appearing in just 24 games. He is one of the world’s top right-backs when healthy, though.
Additionally, Ancelotti wants to bring Victor Osimhen from Napoli to Los Blancos. He insists that Real Madrid must bring in a striker who can ensure at least 30 goals per season. This comes after Karim Benzema left for Al-Ittihad of the Saudi Pro League.
Also being examined is Harry Kane, but at 29 years old, he may find it challenging to reach an agreement with Daniel Levy, the chairman of Tottenham Hotspur. Osimhen, who is 24 years old, is seen of as more of a long-term fix. The Nigerian striker, who is valued at €130 million, scored 31 goals in 39 games last season.
Real Madrid won’t make any other moves following the acquisition of Joselu:
After securing the loan of Joselu yesterday (18 June), Real Madrid has no plans to add any more players, according to Spanish writer Melchor Ruiz. The club’s management team feels that more squad bolstering is no longer necessary this summer.
Espanyol forward Joselu was acquired by Los Blancos on a season-long loan. The 33-year-old enjoyed an outstanding season in La Liga, making 34 appearances while scoring 16 goals and dishing out two assists. He recently contributed to Spain’s victory in the 2023 Nations League.
Joselu can undoubtedly have an effect forward, but he is unlikely to have the same impact as Karim Benzema.
The Real Madrid administration appears to be hoarding money to recruit Kylian Mbappe for the upcoming season, despite Carlo Ancelotti’s rumored desire for more signings. The megastar of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is expected to leave the club in the summer of 2024 after declining to extend his contract.
