Leeds United hosted Wolves for the Premier League match where the home team dominated possession in the opening half, shooting crosses from a number of angles into the box and attacking from set pieces without producing much in the way of clear-cut opportunities.
Wolves improved dramatically in the second half and had a goal from Romain Saiss called out for offside before Jimenez drifted in from the right and cut back to shoot.
Phillips tried to go out but just managed to mis-foot his goalkeeper.
On a goal differential behind Leicester City and Arsenal, the slim victory took Wolves sixth on nine points from five games. With seven points, newly-promoted Leeds are 10th.
