Gennaro Gattuso says Napoli deserves credit for ‘making it look easy’, after the Azzurri’s 6-0 victory over Fiorentina, and describes why he took the squad out two days before the match for lunch.
“It looked like an easy game, but it was not easy. [David] Ospina made a great save when we were one goal up,” Gattuso told DAZN.
“The turning point was [Lorenzo] Insigne’s assist, they lost some wickedness after that. We converted every opportunity we created. We conceded some goal chances, but it was a great performance. We’ll need another one like this on Wednesday.”
“It’s not easy to remain focused when you win 4-0 at half time. That’s why I raised my voice in the second half. We made so many mistakes in home games this season, we’ve reached Roma in the table, we cared so much about this game.”
