Kylian Mbappe’s contract talks with Paris Saint-Germain are going well confirmed the Frenchman’s mother. At the conclusion of the season, Mbappe’s current contract is slated to expire, leaving his long-term future out in the air.
Fans that have been following him for a long time know Real Madrid made two bids for him last summer and are still hopeful of securing his services for a football transfer. Mbappe indicated that he has minimal chance of re-signing with PSG and recently stated that he was “disappointed” that he did not complete a move to Spain in August.
However, Fayza Lamari, his mother, claims that things are not so simple. She has told Le Parisien that negotiations with PSG are going well. “We are in talks with PSG right now and it’s going well. I even spoke to Leonardo last night [Monday]. But will we reach an outcome? One thing is sure: he will give his all right up until the end to win the Champions League,” she said.
“Kylian needs to feel satisfied. If he’s unhappy, he is capable of telling you: “I’m stopping my career”. And he says that to us often, actually [smiles]. With Kylian, it can all change from one day to the next.”
Before a solution is found, the Mbappe contract story is likely to take many twists and turns. PSG sporting director Leonardo chastised Real for their lack of respect earlier this week, believing the club is aiming to disturb the player.
