Paris Saint-Germain returned to winning ways in Ligue 1 with a victory over 10-man Lorient, thanks to goals from Kylian Mbappe and Moise Kean.
Kylian Mbappe and Moise Kean were on task for Paris Saint-Germain as they profited from Andrew Gravillon’s expensive red card to defeat Lorient 2-0 in Wednesday’s Ligue 1 clash.
Following the previous 2-0 victory at Dijon by the league leaders, PSG entered the game four points adrift of Lille and took time to get going, even though Ander Herrera came nearest to a first-half breakthrough when hitting the crossbar.
However, Gravillon was dismissed at the Parc des Princes for taking down Mbappe early in the second half and the PSG forward brushed himself down to convert the resulting penalty.
Kean fired nine minutes later in a second goal and from that point on, PSG were under little pressure as they climbed to second ahead of Lyon, heading into the massive top-of-the-table showdown with Lille on Sunday.
